A very memorable experience!

I contacted the assistant principal, Mrs. Santucci, at Walter C. Black Elementary School in Hightstown and hosted a read-aloud for over 150 2nd graders after school.
We decided to split the grade into three reading groups with 30 minutes for each.
- Introduction: Who I am, where I currently attend high school, and what inspired me to write/ illustrate a book.
- Time for questions! There were an overwhelming number of hands 🙂

The kids enjoyed it so much that I decided to leave a few extra copies behind for their in-school library, hoping even more students could explore them later on.
Many of them eagerly shared their love for drawing and storytelling, and some even talked about wanting to create their own books one day.
It was incredibly heartwarming to see their creativity sparked, and I truly hope to return soon to host another event and continue supporting their imagination and growth.
